Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) for immigrants

If you are leaving the Philippines as an immigrant / permanent resident / landed immigrant, you are required to attend the mandatory Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS).

The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) conducts PDOS specific to different countries. Topics discussed during PDOS include how to prepare for departure, settlement services available upon arrival, housing, education and housing.

While every member of the family must be registered, children 12 years and below are exempted from attending PDOS.

Children 13 to 19 years old must attend the mandatory Peer Counselling Program.
